Travel Officer near Barcelona (m/f)

We’re thinking about a Business Administration graduate (or similar) with experience in a Travel Management position using CAPTIO or any other software for expenses management.


Our client is a research center located in the Mediterranean Technology Park in the metropolitan area of Barcelona, and hosts researchers, PhD students and staff personnel. The institute is consistently ranked among the highest-quality research institutions worldwide in its area of specialization and category.

OBJECTIVE

The objective of this position is the management of the Travel Management area at the institution. This area is part of the Finance unit and has the function of managing all the trips of all the people of the Institute (including registrations for congresses, seminars and courses, flight and accommodation reservations) and all subsequent management settlement of expenses and travel justifications.

MAIN TASKS

  • To run the Travel Area and to organize its work.
  • To meet requirements from the institution personnel on Travel Support Service.
  • To intermediate with the Travel Agencies (service providers).
  • To prepare Travel Purchase Offers for approval and ERP booking.
  • To follow Travel Expenses for approval and payment.
  • To oversee administrative tasks carried on by the area.
  • To lead the deployment of CAPTIO as the tool for travel and expenses management.
  • To handle CAPTIO and other software for travel management and expenses reimbursement.
  • To take on, occasionally, administrative tasks specific to a Purchasing Department, such as issuing, monitoring and receiving purchasing orders.

WE NEED

  • A University degree in Business Administration (ADE) or similar.
  • Experience using CAPTIO or any other software for expenses management.
  • Previous experience in a similar position (more than 1 year).
  • High level of spoken and writing English.
